John Hume was elected in the room of Adam Kedzie deceased
Alexander McDonald was elected in the room of Daniel McGillvrea whose time was expired

Notice having been given two sabaths previous, the first Presbyterian Congregation of Stamford met this day in the meeting house for the purpose of taking seats. The following article being read the seats was sold
Article 1-Each seat will be set up separate and the possession of it for one year sold to the highest bidder the trustees reserving one bid in behalf of the Congregation
Article 2-The purchaser shall draw a note to the trustees of the first Presbyterian Congregation of Stamford a bearer due in six months from date

Agreed with Duncan Turner to furnish four cord of stove wood for five shillings and nine pence per cord the measurement of the cord to be 8 feet long 4 feet high and 48 inches wide. Proceeded to sell the seats for one year.

Resolved that on the first Monday of April next a permanent sale of the seats take place on the following terms
That each person purchasing shall binge himself to pay to the trustees such sum as he shall agree to pay yearly and every year on the first day of Dec in each year(to commence on the first day of Dec next after said sale) Until he shall give notice to the trustees in writing that he wishes to relinquish his Monday in April next after notice is given
Resolved that the trustees pay to Jared Webster fifteen dollars for cleaning the church and that they endever to raise the same by subscription
The procuring of the Revd Robert Forrests firewood for one year and the providing four cords of wood for the stoves in the Church was sold to John Graham Jr for which the trustees is to pay him forty five dollars

Terms of Sale
The persons purchasing shall pay the rent at which they now take the seat yearly and every year on the first day of Dec. in every year until they shall give notice to the trustees to the contray the rent always to continue till the last Monday in April next after said notice shall be given the trustees reserving the right to sell the seats again on the first Monday of April in any year after this if they shall think the intent of the congregation requires such sale

We the subscribers Elders of the first Presbyterian Congregation in the town of Stamford in the County of Delaware belonging to the associate Reformed Presbytery of Saratoga having presided at this election do hereby certify that an open and fair election was held on this 6th Oct. 1834 and that Joseph McMurdy was elected in the place of James Hume & Aristarchus Blish was elected in the place of John Wool for three years.

Resolved that a Committee of three persons be appointed to get subscribers for the support of an assistant minister. Resolved that John Hume, Robert Hume Jr. and Thomas Shiland be said committee. Resolved that John Hume, William Trotter and Daniel McGillivrae be commissioners to meet with the Presbytery at their next meeting.

The First Presbyterian Congregation of Stamford being duly notified met. John Hume was chosen Chairman and James Rich Clerk. The Trustees made a statement to the Congregation of arrears of salary due to the Revd. Robt. Forrest which amounted to 750 dollars. Resolved that the trustees take up a subscription through the Congregation for the purpose of paying said arrearges. James Rich requested a committee to examine his account respecting the building of the new church. Resolved that John McDonald, James Hume and Abel Squire be a committee to examine said accounts and report to the congregation.

1 This land was sold to Robert Forrest in a deed dated December 20, 1823(deeds F-466). It was a 200 acre lot known as the Donation Farm and was located in the town of Roxbury, Great Lot 41, nine miles east of the Delaware River.
