John Bangs
The remains of John Bangs, and his wife Mary, removed from this old Burying ground and reintered in the The Stamford Cemetery by the Methodist Church Society, in the summer of 1923.
John Bangs, a noted Methodist Circuit rider in the Counties of Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie and Greene, from about 1804 to 1849. Was known as the Apostle of the Catskills.
Was a prominent Blacksmith and edge tool maker in the town Kortright, in early life.
Capt. Andrew Rickey
The head stones marked Rickey, were removed from this old Burying-Ground, and re-located in the Stamford Cemetery, by Mary Stevens, a great grand daughter of Andrew Rickey, August 1938.
