Even though these Judd's, my 3x great grandparents, lived most of their lives in Jefferson, Schoharie Co., they are along with William's father, Balmarine Judd, the beginnings of my family in NYS. William was born in Huntington, Fairfield Co. Connecticut about 1786. My Great grandfather, who I remember, told me his Grandmother, Irene and her sister, Jane, as young women rode horseback by themselves from Jefferson to Huntington and home again. Love the stories, actually true or not... My great granfather, Tunis Cooper Judd, also wrote that his grandfather, William, lived to be 100. I haven't verified that--yet!! --Paula
