Delaware County NY Genealogy and History Site

Founded in 1835 as a private school located on the school's present site. In 1930, DLI became a central school district known as Delaware Literary Institute and Franklin Central School.

I recently visited my 90 year old aunt in TN, who had this photo of her husband as a sixth grader in Franklin DLI schools, which they both attended, as did my dad. Remarkably, all of the children were named so that I think the photo has even more value. --Robert Taylor, September 16, 2018
