A friend of mine, Dave Johnson, put this CD together for me after I had selected the music and photos
Since Dave and I started this project it has led to my meeting the daughter of my navigator, the 3 children of my radio operator and email with the nephew of my copilot. The only other living "Little Girls" crew member is the bombardier, MH Lynch, who I met Nov 11, 2006 for the first time since 1945.
The 1st crew photo was taken before we left the States; the 2nd after we had flown 5 combat missions over Germany.
On that fateful day, Jan 5, 1944, I lost half my crew...the copilot was killed by gunfire from the German ME-109 pilot and the 4 aft gunners parachuted from the burning plane and presumably drowned in the Bay of Biscay. --Ed Davidson, February 12, 2007
