WILL OF SAMUEL SMITH
Be it remembered that at the Surrogates held at the Surrogate's office in Delhi in and for the County of Delaware on the 13th day of May 1878. The
Last Will and Testament of Samuel Smith late of the town of Franklin in county of Delaware, deceased was duly proved before Isacc H. Maynard,
Surrogate of said county and was by said Surrogate Adjudged valid and established as a Will of real and personal estate and the same together
with the proofs and ??? taken on the probate thereof are permanent to the order of the said Surrogate has recorded to wit; In the name of God Amen I Samuel Smith of the town of Franklin in the County of Delaware and State of New York, of the age of seventy two years and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to my:
First - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Faith Genett Smith all my house goods of every name and nature to have hold or depose of for her use and benefit, also all my personal property of every name or nature that I may be possessed of at the time of my decease for her own use and benefit and to be disposed of as she sees fit after pay my debts if any there be and proving this will and a reasonable compensation to my Executor herein after named for administering on this my Last Will and Testament revoking all other wills by me made. Secondly - I hereby appoint my wife Faith Gennett Smith my sole Execution of this my Last Will and Testament. In ??? whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 17th day of April 1872. The above instrument was at the date thereof signed, sealed, published and disclaimed by the said Samul Smith as and for this Last Will and Testament in our presence of each other have subscribed our names on witnesses thereto.
