A Copy of the Letters of Administration granted on the Estate of Weight Cannon deceased the people of the State of New York by the Grace of God Free and Independent to Benjamin Cannon and Persis Cannon send greeting. whereas Weight Cannons as is alleged lately died intestate having whilst living and at the time of his Death Goods Chattels or Credits within this State by means whereof the ordering and granting administration of all and singular the said Goods, Chattels, and Credits and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the amount thereof hath appertain unto us and we being desirous that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased may be well and faithfully administered applied and dispered of to grant unto you the said Benjamin and Persis full Power by these present to administer and faithfully dispose of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, and Credits to ask demand receive and secure the debts which unto the said deceased whilst being and at the time of his Death did belong and pay the Debts which the said deceased did owe so far as such Goods, Chattels and Credits will hereto extend and the law requires-Hereby-requiring you to make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods chattels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall came to your hands possession or knowledge and the same so made to exhibit or cause to be exhibited unto the office of surrogate of the County of Delaware at or before the expiration of six calendar months from the Date hereof and to render a just and true account of admintration when thereunto required And we do by there presents dep---?, court---? and appoint you the said Benjamin Cannon administrator and I Persis Cannon Administrix of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits which were of the said Weight Cannon deceased. I testimony whereof we have caused the seal of the office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed. Anthony Marvine Esq., surrogate of the said county of Kortright the sixteenth Day of March in the year of our LORDS one thousand Eight hundred and four. Anth Marvine Delaware County be it remembered that on the fifteenth day of March one thousand eight hundred and four personally came before me Anthony Marvine, Surrogate of the said county of Delaware Benjamin Cannon and Persis Cannon to whom I administered an oath in the words following to wit you and each of you do swear that weight Cannon late of the County of Delaware deceased died without any will as far as you know or ------and that you will well and faithfully administer all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased and pay his debts as far as his Goods, Chattels, and Credits will thereto extend and the law requires you. And that you will make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said Goods, Chattels and Credits as also a just and perfect account of your administration and exhibit the same within the time for that purpose prescribed by law - so help you God. signed Anth Marvine

Te preceding Letters of Administration to Benjamin Cannon and Persis Cannon, with a memorandum of the oath administered to them as administrators were recorded this 16 Day of March 1804. signed Anth Marvine Sur
