A Copy of the will of William McKee late of Harpersfield dec'd ------

In the Name of God Amen I William McKee of Harpersfield in the County of Delaway being in Perfect Mind and Memory (Thanks be to God for it do make and ordain this my last Will and Testamony that is to say I give and recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a decent Christian Burial at the Discreation of my Executor nothing doubting of rising to a joyful Resurrection. ___(?)___. I desire that all my just Debts and funeral Expenses may be payd immediate after my deseas or as soon as conveaniantly may be; _____ and the remainder of my Estate to be divided as follows (Viz.?) William James and Maryann I give each of them one hundred and twenty five Cents And that my Son John is to have one Tenth part of the Estate after the Debts and funeral Expense are payd and this Tenth Part the said John is the receive out of the Estate at the Expiration of twenty-one that is when he is of lawful age...And the Remainder of the Estate is to be Cept together for the use of the bringin up the children till the Youngest becomes of age and then to be equally divided the widows third resarved for her maintenance as long as she lives. And I do constitute ordain and apint Joel Mack Executor of this my Will and Testament. Hereby revoking all other wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this to be my Last Will and Testment and no other For Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand to this containing one Sheat of Paper this twelfth Day of November one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine Dated in Harpersfield. Wm McKee [ ss] In Preasance of John Makeever, Henry Dasbrow, Jimy Bell - Delware County Js Be it remembered that on the Eleventh Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred Personally appeared before me Anthony Mauvine Surrogate of the said County of Delaware Henry Dasbrow of the Town of Kortright in the said County of Delware who being duly sworn on his oath did declare that he saw William McKee sign the within written Instrument purporting to be the will of the said William McKee and I heard him publish and declare the same is and for his last will and Testament and that at the Time thereof ____ the said Willaiam McKee was of sound and disposing Mind and Memory to the best of the knowledge of belief of him this Depossant(?) and that his name subscribed to this Will as a Witness is of his own proper hand Writing and that he saw John McKeever and Jimmy Bell the other Witnesses to the said Will subscribe their Names thereto as Witnesses n preseance of him the said William McKee and be it also remembered that on the nineteenth Day of March in the year aforesaid Joel Mack the Executor of the within written Will likewise appeared before me Anthony Mauvine Surrogate as aforesaid and was duly sworn to the True performance and Execution of the within Will by taking the usual oath as Excutor --AnthMauvine Surrogate

{S.S.}The People of the State of New York by the Grace of God free and Indipendent to all to whom these Presents shall come or may concern send greeting know ye that at Kortright in the County of Delaware on the Day and Date of these presents before me Anthony Mauvine Surrogate of our said County the Last Will and Testament of William McKee deceased a Copy whereof is hereunto annexed was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us. And the said deceased having whilst living and at the time of his Death Goods Chattels and Credits within this State by means whereof the proving and registering the said will and the granting Administration of all and singular the said Goods Chattels and Credits and also the Auditing and Allowing and final discharging the Account thereof doth belong unto us. --Therefore the Administration of all and singular the Goods Chatells and Credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his Will is granted unto Joel Mack the Executor in the said Will named by being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the said Goods, Chattels and Credits and also to render a just and true Account thereof when thereunto required. In Testmony whereof we have caused the Seal of Office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed Witness Anthony Mauvine Surrogate of the said County at Kortright the nineteeth Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight Hundred and of our Independence the Twenty-fourth. The preceeding Will of William McKee dec'd with the Certificate of the proof thereof and of the Qualilfication of Joel Mack as Executor. And also the Letter Testamentary thereon recorded this nineteenth Day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred. AnthMauvine, Sur.
