Copy of the letter of Administration Granted to Sarah Ten Eick and Andrew G. Ten Eick, on the Estate of John U. Ten Eick deceased-

The People of the State of New York, by the Grace of God free and Independent
To Sarah Ten Eick and Andrew G. Ten Eick of the town of Davenport
and County of Delaware Send Greeting -

Whereas John U. Ten Eick as is alleged, lately died Intestate having whilst living, and at the time of his death Goods Chattels and Credits within this State, by means whereof the ordering and Granting Administration of all and Singular the Said Goods Chattels and Credits and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth appertain unto us: And we being desirous that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Said deceased, May be well and faithfully administered applied and disposed of, do Grant unto you the said Sarah Ten Eick and Andrew G. Ten Eick full power by these presents to administer and faithfully to dispose of all and Singular the Said Goods Chattels and Credits - to ask demand Recover and Receive the debts, which unto the Said Deceased whilst living and at the time of his death did belong, and to pay the debts which the Said deceased did owe, So far as Such Goods Chattels and Credits will thereto Extend and the law require: Hereby Requiring you to make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Said deceased which have or Shall Come to your hands posession or knowledge and the Same So made, to Exhibit or cause to be Exhibited into the Office of the Surrogate of the Said County of Delaware At or before the Expiration of three Calendar months from the date hereof: And also, to Render a Just and true account of Administration when thereunto Required, And we do by these presents, depute Constitute and appoint you the Said Sarah Ten Eick and Andrew G. Ten Eick Administrators of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits which were of the Said John U. Ten Eick deceased - In Testimony whereof, we have caused the Seal of Office of our Said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed - Witness Robert North Esquire Surrogate of the Said County at Walton the Eighth day of September in the year of our lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty, And of our Independence the fifty fourth ---

In the Matter of the personal property of John U. Ten Eick deceased -
Application for that purpose having been duly made to this Court, it is ordered that Seth Goodrich and Peter Shellman be and they are hereby Severally appointed appraisers, to Estimate and appraise the personal property of the Said John U. Ten Eick deceased, as Soon as Conveniently may be after the Service of a copy of this order ---

In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto Set my hand this Eighth day of September 1830 ---

Ten Eick of the Said County, to whom I administered an oath in the words following, to wit, You do Solemnly Swear, that you will honestly and faithfully discharge the duty of an administrator of the Estate of Lansing Gaius Elwell deceased, according to law ----
