This is a photo of Roy Gray, that I inherited when an aunt in my husband’s family passed away. The name on the frame in which this photo was found was written by someone other than myself, so I feel confident that it is, in fact, Roy Gray. The wording on the bottom is the 'signature' of the photographer, Edward Vantine, if that means anything to anybody.
This could be Roy Lewis Gray (born in 1896 and died in 1972), the son of Charles and Mary (Stott) Gray, grandson of Edmond and Elizabeth (Lewis) Gray and great grandson of Jacob and Mary (Allen) Gray.
Or this could be Roy K. Gray born in 1917 and died in 2000, son of Guy and Esther M. (Kinch) Gray, grandson of Charles Augustus and Sarah E. (Pangburn) Gray, great grandson of John B. and Lydia Jane (Hotchkiss) Gray, and great-great grandson of Jacob and Mary (Allen)
If there are any of his descendants out there that can determine which Roy Gray this is I would appreciate them letting us know and if they would like to have this photo I am willing to send it to them. I have a tendency to lean one way rather than the other, due to the fact our family descends from the Edmund and Elizabeth line of Grays, but in this game you can’t do any guessing.
