These things were all found in my mother's possessions. We thought the yearbook and these group photos with all the names on them might be better saved where others who were looking for people from that era might find them.
My mother was Emily Elizabeth Boggs (1899-1992), who was the oldest child of William Sidney Boggs (1868-1957) and Mary Elizabeth James (1867-1927). She was born and grew up in South Kortright. Her father was a contractor/carpenter who built a number of houses and barns in that area. She married Walter B. Zerbe in 1927 and lived the rest of her life in Washington DC/Bethesda, MD area where I was born. More genealogical information on this family can be found on ancestry.com in the Zerbe Family Tree.
My mother is pictured in the Junior class in the 1916 yearbook and then in the Senior Class photo of 1918 of Stamford Seminary. Her younger siblings all went to Hobart, I believe.
The Souvenir is from the one room school she attended in South Kortright.
I'm not sure what the group is in the photo taken at Odell's Lake. Her friend, Alice Davidson is there again. Maybe a church picnic? Charles Boggs is her uncle although he's about her age. (Her grandfather, Edward Alonzo Boggs had 6 children with his first wife (William S. was the oldest). After she died he remarried and had 3 more children. Charles was the second of those three. I'm not sure I ever met Charles Boggs but I remember her telling me that his grandson was Tommy who used to play baseball with the Atlanta Braves.
I don't know who the young men are in the tintype but I thought it an interesting souvenir of the Cobleskill Fair.
